Here’s a great opportunity to indulge in some lively big band and swing music while supporting a very worthwhile cause.
The Impressions Big Band is playing a benefit concert Friday November 8th for the North Shore Crisis Services Society (NSCSS). NSCSS is a registered charity that is dedicated to promoting a secure and abuse-free environment for women and children. The Society offers a variety of programs designed to encourage safe and healthy homes.
The concert is sponsored by the West Vancouver Presbyterian Church. Tickets are $15, $10 for seniors and students, and are available from the band or at the door. Every cent of the ticket price goes to the North Shore Crisis Services Society. The church waives rental fees, tickets, flyers etc are donated and a member of the congregation supplies the intermission goodies. Tax receipts are available if you spend $20 or more.
