Impressions returns to the West Vancouver Presbyterian Church on Friday, June 13 in a benefit concert for the North Shore Crisis Services Society (NSCSS). Since 1979, NSCSS has been providing support to women and children who are victims of abuse. The Arokis Society is proud to be able to support this worthwhile cause.
At this event we’ll be featuring male vocalist Andrew Smith. Andrew used to play trombone with the band, but he’s also a fabulous singer. We’re planning to do tunes from the Sinatra/Basie repertoire as well as a few other swinging favorites.
Tickets are $15, $10 for seniors and students, and are available from the band or at the door. Every cent of the ticket price goes to the North Shore Crisis Services Society. The church waives rental fees, tickets, flyers etc are donated and a member of the congregation supplies the intermission goodies. Tax receipts are available if you spend $20 or more.
